HP Pavilion HDX9000,HP Pavilion TX1003AU

The HP Pavilion HDX9000 Notebook is truly one of the best notebooks around. However, it does tend to deviate from the purpose of notebooks - that of portability. The HDX9000 features a large widescreen display that could be well-suited as a desktop replacement rather than a traveling companion.

As an entertainment powerhouse that will replace your desktop computer the performance and appearance of the HP Pavilion HDX seems to match up to its billing. It is one of the best 20-inch laptop on the market.

Its pros include: Fastest Intel components available. River of LED-lit multimedia keys. HD TV tuner. Options for HD DVD-ROM and WUXGA screen in the summer. Good gaming scores. Best design for a 20-inch laptop. Great range of screen positions.

Its cons on the other hand are these: Back-breaking monster of a laptop. Huge AC adapter. Exorbitant price tag.
